OOPS ITS MONDAY
Well, I guess that weekend post didn't happen. Actually I totally forgot. My bad :(.. I actually got to go out on Friday and had an awesome time meeting new people at a coworkers birthday. This little piece turned into a like three pages after spending half my Friday talking to an interesting human. It is funny how meeting someone you have tons in common with sparks the creative flow. Things you wish you would have said, questions you wish you would have asked. Hindsight is a bitch. That being said, I am leaving ALL of that part of this piece out and focusing on the part that I started out with.. A tribute to one of my favorite cover models, and all around good guy, Tyler Halligan...Cheers Bro

Rounding the corner toward the back gym exit, my smelly gym
bag in tow, I intently stare at my phone. Being a mom with two jobs makes my
daily trips to the gym quick, frantic, and futile. The feeling that I never get
anything accomplished is a daily issue. Mid-text I slam directly into a warm
sweaty wall of skin, causing me to fall unceremoniously on my ass. My hand
flies to my nose, instantly inspecting for any blood or damage. When the tears
finally clear, I am met with the most beautiful set of glutes topped off with a
poetic back piece that leaves my fingers itching to reach out and trace its
lines.
The meat wall, apparently unaffected by my collision, slowly
turns to face me. Now that I am outright staring at him, I can see the rest of
the ink that covers his arms, sides, and upper chest. The flutter in my belly
tells me that I love what I see. Then again, I have always been a sucker for a
nice piece of art. Everything about him screams Micalangelo’s David. The ink along
his collar bone reads relentless in beautiful scroll. My heart skips a beat an
when I finally snap out of my mesmerized stupor.
Crouching at my level, I find a beautiful set of blue eyes, the kind of eyes that crinkle slightly at the corners, telling a tale life of smiles and laughter. A ridiculously adorable grin breaking across his pink heart shape lips brings out the hint of a dimple hiding under his strawberry blonde goatee. My jaw drops and snaps shut like a fish out of water as he offers me his hand.

“You ok? Didn’t hit your head did you?” He asks in a kind
voice.
“Nope. Just ran head first into the statue of Apollo, and
fell straight into a puddle of mortification.” My cheeks blaze with heat as I
suddenly find something on the floor extremely interesting.
“Sorry. Next time I am standing off to the side, out of the
way, in the back hallway of the gym, which no one ever uses, I will make sure
to hum or something. You know, so no one mistakes me for the exit door.”
I giggle as I chance another glance at his face. His waiting smile is a reward I never knew I
wanted. “Or you could put some flashing lights on your ass, because no one
actually looks up from their phone anymore when they walk.” And then, the fucking filter dissolves.
I smash my eyes closed realizing I basically just admitted to looking at his
ass.
Gathering my bag and phone forgotten on the floor I skirt
around him toward the door. “Sorry I left a face print on your back. Hopefully
your girl won’t be too upset I tried to make out with that beautiful piece of
artwork.” I boldly quip before bolting out the door toward my car.
