Happy Hollidays Throw Out (part 1)

I promised my readers a short story for Christmas. However, said short story is already five pages long and still going. That being said , since next week is also a holiday I thought I would bring to you in two parts. This is my first( an probably only) piece of fan fiction. I was disappointed in how the Divergent series ended. I don't want to spoil it for all who have yet to read it, but if you read this you probably will understand what happens.  My apologies to Veronica Roth for creating my own spin on the story, I just could not help myself. In my opinion Four needs a better ending! So without further ado, here's My holiday throw out. Merry Christmas Everyone. ******* Part ONE                 It has been four years since the Chicago experiment was disbanded and its borders opened. I took the first opportunity I could to get out of the fringe and into the city. I never imagined that I would ...

Thursday Throw out!

Image
Hi all, Short and sweet this week, mainly because next week you are going to get nothing short of  a novella. My Christmas gift to you will be my first and only piece of fan fiction. Forewarning if you have not read the Divergent series and were planning on it, you may want to avoid my blog next week . I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I just am not a fan of the ending of the book and wanted to give one of the main characters a happy ending. So far I have 2300 words penned and feel like I am about half way through. I just hope I do justice to the Veronica Roth series, knowing how beloved it is to readers. I wont be posting any teasers this week because I have been working on the aforementioned piece since last week when I said i was going to bring you a short story. Please accept my apologies, I promise next week wont disappoint. So if you have not yet bought my book, and wanted to see my writing style before making that 0.99 purchase, check out my older posts, or just wait...

Thursday throw out!

Welcome all to the Thursday throw out! I have been trying to focus on my writhing more this week. I found a new light in an old project that I have not touched in a while. i guess with as slow as sales have been on Muse I figure if I am ever to get a fan base built I was going to have to keep producing material. The holidays are fast approaching, and i wanted to do something special. I think I may write a short story and post it especially for those who visit my blog on Christmas day (since it is on a Thursday after all) So I guess I better get to work :). Here is a piece of the old project I was writing on this week, hope you enjoy. Concept I pace in front of the emergency room doors, puffing on a cigarette, given to me by a passerby who said I looked like I needed one.   I quit smoking   twenty years ago, and my lungs ache from the strain I am putting them under.   I hold my cell pressed against my ear as I cross the sidewalk. Back and forth.   Back and f...

Thursday throw out

So, its Thursday again. I missed last week due to the holiday, sorry, I had to work :(. I am running out of steam when it comes to things to post for you. I don't want to disappoint so therefore I am bringing you an excerpt from Muse Vol 2 this evening. I am spending my holiday searching for inspiration. I have reached a stale spot in my creative life. I really dislike the holidays, and have  a hard time coping with the season.  So if this post is anticlimactic I apologise and I promise big things next week :) on to the teaser Muse Vol 2 “Hello Erato.” A soft voice floats from the form. “Mother?” Calliope squeaks from behind me. In front of me, I see the long absent face of my mother with her arms open wide. She beams at my sister and I, and I can feel her happiness flow through me like a river. Cali grabs my hand and tows me toward our mother, eager to close the distance time has caused. Unable to contain myself, I start to weep, as she wraps us in her ...
