Twas The Day After Christmas Throwout
Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the house, the neurotic writer was stirring, and the cats where chasing the mouse.....
UMMMM no.
Hey all, hope you had a great holiday..what ever you celebrate.
So as I have been alone for more hours than I care to admit, I started futzing with my works in progress. I have a finished piece that I really want to get read through, It is a strong story, but the sex scenes suck, which we all know I hate writing..This makes me a huge contradiction, considering I am one of the biggest pervs you will ever meet.
I giggled when the realization hit me that an incredibly handsome friend of mine shares a namesake with one of the MC in the book I am proofing. Since it is an unusual name I thought I would clear up any confusion. Brayden is the name of my childhood crush. He lived in my apartment complex and didn't give me the time of day, so obviously I was in LOVE with him. The plot revolves around a restaurateur who falls in love with a wealthy business man, only their fates had been linked before they knew it. There are several other similarities between my MC and my new friend, but I can assure you that I finished this novel over two years ago and have been trying to slowly perfect it ever since. I also have several people who have read the book in its current state, long before I worked with said blue eyed devil, so please don't think I am crazy(-er than you already do) it is merely a coincidence. (I know he likely does not visit my blog, but I did give him the address, so there is a possibility)
This aside, I did get some writing done today as well. Or you may choose to call it therapy...here you go....

"OUT! I want you out of my house!!" I scream and I can't believe I actually said the words out loud. He looks at me like he doesn't believe me, because I am weak in his eyes. Little does he know, all I have left is strength. I survive solely off sheer strength of will. The fight that burns in my soul, ignited after years of dormancy and self imposed exile. Years of being beaten into submission has my spirit aching to burst fourth into the light.
"Don't think it is going to be that easy, I will take you for all that you have."
Truthfully, I expected nothing less. Nothing has ever been easy. There is no reasoning with an irrational person. All I want out of life is happiness, maybe some affection, it has been so long that I have started mistaking kindness for flirtation, and in turn, more heartache.
As I continue my work, under a barrage of insults, I am told how stupid I am. How worthless, and undesirable I have become. However, as usual, he has underestimated me. I may not have a fancy degree, but I have friends that do. Two of my closest friends are a lawyer and social worker respectively, and an awesome resource.
So, go ahead. Try to make my life miserable. I assure you it couldn't be any worse than what I have already been through. In the end, my freedom will be invaluable.
