Thursday Throw Out

Here we are again. Thursday and I am scrambling to find something to throw at you guys. This week has been rough. First, I took Muse down again. A friend talked some sense in to me and I realized she was right. Not to mention TWO PEOPLE told me it was Twilightesque which is a big fat nope for me. I don't do fan fiction. Well, I guess I have in the past, but Muse was intended to be an original, not some cheap knock off of Stephanie Meyer. But I digress. Second, one of my favorite parts of Scarred was tainted by they succubus that is EL James. I don't want to offend anyone with my disdain for the woman, so I digress, again, but I really just want to toss out my entire written portfolio and scrub my brain with a brillo pad. I will maintain, however, that the scene was written before FSOG was released. Alas, that matters not to the public. Since this is what we are talking about I may as well share it. At least it will be seen by my readers eyes before I send it to the trash ...

Thursday Throw Out

Howdy. Its Thursday again, so that means another post from me. You know, I have been doing this whole writing thing for the better part of the last five years, and it has not gotten any easier. I have gotten better at it, but it has not gotten any easier. I knew absolutely nothing about what it takes to publish a book when I started out, and still feel like I have no clue what I am doing. I just know I like to put words on paper. If others enjoy them, great. Thankfully I have friends who explain stuff to me when I am dumbfounded, which happens a lot. So news. I am about a quarter of the way through Detour my first romance/erotica novel. I wanted to make it a series, but decided that I need a standalone under my belt. The last Adventure of those girls is looking like it is going to be a novella. I wanted to make it a full length, but I don't think I have the time to devote to making it into a full length novel. However, the novella is begging to be written and as hard as I...

Thursday Throwout

THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN!! Muse Vol 2 must be finished. A wise woman once said DO THE THING!! It was actually AD Marrow last night, but I fully intend to follow her advice. When you decide to change your life you follow the example of the strong women around you. I have been so blessed to retain the friends I have over the years. However, by the grace of god, and the interwebs, I have met some wonderful, supportive, motivating Pirate Bitches. These ladies have shown me how to dream big, but achieve even bigger.  This being said I am bringing another piece of The Last Adventure of Those Girls. I am rather proud of this scene. I believe that writers are just kids who used to embellish their journals because their lives were too boring. In every line you can pull pieces about the author away from the text. If you read the fine print you could potentially see a piece of my soul.  DEDICATION TIME! To Emily and Carrie my life long partners in crime. Thank you for believing in ...

Thursday Throw out!!

Hi all, Another weekly throw out for you here. This is something I was working on for one of my WIP. I have read it several times, and am not happy with it. I will likely end up scrapping the whole thing, but, at least someone else's eyes before that happens. enjoy Detour I awoke to an arm stretching over me. The warm muscular body of Rayce blankets me in warmth and surrounds me with a smell, as unique as the man it emanates from. I nuzzle into his chest and draw in a deep breath. I can taste him on my tongue, slightly musky and salty. All male. I gently ease out from under his arm. Rayce doesn’t stir, but lets out a sigh, seemingly in protest of my absence. I study his beautiful face, noting his angular features seem to soften as he sleeps. My stomach turns at what I am about to do. Dressing quickly I pad to the bathroom in bare feet.   Turning the knobs for the shower, I close the curtain and slip back out of the bathroom down the stairs of the loft. I hope that my ...
