It's the freakin weekend!!

Hello,
Hope all of you are well. I have been busy networking and promoting the A Million Little Pieces Project. I also started working on Muse vol 2 again. I have been neglecting Stella and Jesson, and they need to have their story told! So I jumped back in feet first.

I often feel like I am not good enough. That this whole thing is a joke to others. I know it is likely just self doubt on my part, but it is always there. Sometimes it is more prominent then others. However, people are always giving me words of encouragement. I appreciate them very much. Especially when I get positive reviews, I feel like I am finally doing something right. So, if I have not said it lately, thank you all for being awesome, supportive, and above all interested in what I put down on paper!

I thought I would share my vision of Jesson with you all. If Muse is ever made into a movie I would love it he would play Jesson for me :)

Muse Vol 2

“As lovely as ever, Erato, how have you been.”

My blood runs icy as I take him in. The long, lithe, frame of Pluto sits majestically, one leg crossed over the other, fingers clasped over his knee. I have not seen Pluto since Atlantis, and we did not part on great terms. I ignore his pleasantry and continue to stare blankly at him until his grin falls.

Edmond releases a breath and I can feel him relax, slightly, at the familiarity. Cali eyes me wearily before turning in Pluto’s direction.

“Hello Pluto, how have you been?” Cali says in her gentile voice.

“Calliope, so nice to see you. Last I heard you were still on the mountain. What could possibly bring you to this cesspool.” He raises an eyebrow in her direction.

Cali looks at me apologetically and then turns back toward Pluto, not bothering to answer his question.

“Who is your robust friend? I have to say it has been a while since I have seen such a beautiful specimen.” Pluto purrs toward Edmond, who immediately tenses again. I consider momentarily if Edmond will be offended, but then I notice the blush rising in his cheeks. He is flattered. Well, I didn’t see that one coming.

“What do you want Pluto?” I ask in a cool monotone, careful not to convey my irritation.

“An old friend picks you up in a limousine, and this is the way you treat him?  Tisk, tisk young Muse. I know your parents raised you better than that.”

I have finally had enough. Leaning forward in my seat I twist my face into the fiercest scowl I can muster.

“ Not when the friend’s first and only priority is himself.”
