OPA FRIDAY STYLE

OOPS!!  I popped in this morning to see if anyone commented or visited, aaaand come to find out I forgot to hit publish last night. So here is your Thursday throw out Friday style!!

I have been bouncing between Captured and my concept this week. Also, I have been longing to dive back into Scarred and re-visit Israel and Brayden. I keep having dreams centered around their story, and wake up frantically searching for paper!..No wonder I am so exhausted!

I keep racking my brain for something I have penned that I absolutely love, to share this week. Because, like the song goes “the hook brings you back,” I want nothing more than to keep my readers interested.  I hope what I have selected for you this week does just that! I am looking forward to a long weekend of cleaning and writing…and naps hehe.  I guess if I have to do some yard work I will take care of that as well (sad face)….on to the teaser!

CONECPT

Love is something that is unpredictable. Sometimes, it sneaks up on you like a cat. You look down and there it is in your lap staring you in the face. Other times, it hits you like a freight train. A person just infiltrates your soul, forcing you to surrender. One word, one look, and you’re theirs.  It can be so comfortable that it is as easy as breathing, or so frightening it takes your breath away.

It has been six weeks since Adam left Jesse and Cody here. They have been the six happiest weeks for Brad and me, since my wife died. I didn’t realize that we were in such a rut, walking through the motions like zombies, until Jesse brought back the light and joy to our home. Every day I want to thank her, but how do you thank someone for bringing you back from the dead.

I trudge my way to the door, exhausted from my shift. I can hear the hum of voices from the kitchen as I open the door. Cody comes dashing into the room holding his arms up to me as I enter. I scoop up the little guy and blow a raspberry onto his cheek, which makes him squirm and giggle. Jesse stands in the doorway, leaning against the jamb. She has a short satin robe casually tied in the front, over a tank top and boxer shorts.  I press out a strained smile as my pants grow a little tighter. Averting my eyes, I push past into the kitchen.

****

Well that is it for this week!!! I hope you like J Y’all come back now, Ya-hear!
