Thursday Throw out!

Well its that time again. Another week gone by, still no further along than last week. It is almost painfull waiting for my drafts to come back so i can edit AGAIN. I have no one to blame but myself though, I should have taken the time to do it right the first time. Chasing your dreams is a tough row to hoe. I know I will never be a beautiful 120lb hard body again, I have pretty much given up on fame and fortune, but getting published is within my grasp. For me if I sell ONE copy to a person who does not know me, and they give it a decent review, It will be worth it.

I love that I have other friends that are walking this same path right now. Though, they have better rescources than I, I feel akin to them and their journey. I hope that they do not see me as a joke for trying to do this by myself. I am not trying to make a mochery of thier work, I have been working on this for almost three years now, and I have been so happy to have someone to talk with about things. So you go girls! Thank you for everything.

On to the teaser

Muse Vol. 2

I lie upon a gilded bench, next to a reflecting pool, in the hot Mediterranean sun. Eros finds me here as I sip upon the wine that is ushered to me at a steady stream. He sits next to me on the  lounge and shoots me a grin.

“ I kind of like it here.” He smiles, leaning back and putting his hands behind his head. I roll my eyes because this is the exact kind of place he would like.

Pluto enters the room, his face was as pale as the marble floors.

“What is it?” I ask, as I rise to meet him in the doorway.

“Apollo,” He stammers, “He sent word that Zeus wants his riches back, or he will destroy the island”

I swallow back the bile that is slowly rising in my throat. “You stole from my father?” I whisper. Pluto shakes his head violently, as I stare him in the eye.

“No, I stole nothing. I swear it.” There was no lie in his eyes. “I can create gold, I have no need of Zeus’s riches.” He blurts out urgently. I knew he was trying to clear his name, but it was not my opinion that mattered in this situation.

Eros stands and approaches Pluto. His fingers gripping his chin in contemplation as he paces the floor in front of him. “Maybe it’s not the gold that he is concerned with. He could Just be after you.  After all, with you gone, he cannot use you to his advantage.”

Pluto’s eyes fill with panic. He must not have come to this conclusion yet. “Zeus is the God of Gods, he has no need of gold. It holds no value in Olympus. Why would he need me?”

Well that is it for this week. Please stop back next week for more. Dont forget to like and share on facebook. See you next week.
