Happy Holidays to all!!

I am happy to announce that I have finished editing Muse Vol.1 and have pased the last few chapters off to my final read-through Beta. Just awaiting her thubs up and feedback before submitting to KDP and Nook..maybe KOBO!I hope everyone is having a good holliday season and you are happy and healthy!

I am now setting my sights back onto my writing. Delving deeper into the world of Tatum and Dr Quinn, possibly revisiting the story of Israel and Brayden ..Cant wait!!I will be editing Scarred soon (hopefully) so I need to get at least one more done....but who's story needs to be told the most...I am taking votes. seriousely, your input would be valuable!!

So in the spirit of writing anew! I am going to give you the summary of Scarred today...which I am writing as we speak...or read...you know what I mean!

Israel Hunter is a young Minneapolis restaurateur with a traumatic history. A strong, independent woman, Israel Rarely has time to do anything outside of work. She  spends her days diligently creating some of the Twin Cities finest cuisine, in her five star Restaurant D’Etoile, which she runs with the help of her business partner Brad.  Her best friend Garrett ,and his boyfriend Eli,  are her only family since the passing of her beloved Grandmother and half-brother A.J.  After being unceremoniously abandoned by her boyfriend John, all Israel wants is to do is throw herself into her work. Hoping that her passion for food will keep her distracted.

Brayden Dayton is a young CFO of a high profile Medical Device company. Inheriting his company from his father, he prefers to keep his eye on the bottom line by taking the CFO position. When Brayden holds a charity gala, he hires Israel’s restaurant to do the catering. Specifically requesting Israel to attend the ball as a guest. Reluctantly Israel agrees, knowing it would be good publicity for the restaurant.

When Brayden starts to shower Israel with expensive gifts and tokens, she is disturbed by the unsolicited attention. She comes to find that though he exudes a strong physical presence, inside he is anything but. As their relationship progresses, she can’t help but fall for the man, who carries just as many scars as she does.

While Brayden is in Japan on a business trip, he  receives  a strange text from an unknown number . Israel has been abducted and now he needs to pay for her release. Will Brayden loose his soul mate? Will he be able to get to her in time? Or will he loose his love and his  wealth in the process.

This sophomore work by star kava will keep you glued to its pages. The love story between Israel and Brayden will tug at your heart, and leave you wanting more.

A word of advice. Never become a writer. Why? Well, I will tell you. Eventually, you start to believe your own bullshit.  Delude yourself into seeing things that aren't there. You are convinced at first that situations are innocent, then your friends say they are not, and you believe them. Just trust your instincts. Fairy tales are just that. Never going to happen. Especially not to me. So I open my mouth, loaded with misconceived information, that I didn't want to believe to begin with, and now I am pretty sure I fucked something up that could have pretty awesome. With a little help from my friends Thursday throw out

So I was given a some constructive criticism from a beta who's opinion I value greatly. She was not a fan of my original prologue for one of my books. I redid it with the suggestions she gave me. After several drafts, trying out different concepts, I finally had something I thought was acceptable. Unfortunately, I am still in love with my first idea. This is where you come in! Tonight I am posting both prologues for said book. I want to put it to a vote. If you could please read both versions posted below. Every picture tells a story

So I have had time to process the suggestions given by my Beta and I have now organized them in such a way the my brain can process. 1. revamp prologue it sucks..well at least reword and add to it 2. Decide weather or not you want to take out things that personalize it to me...how much of myself do i want to leave on paper. 3. re-evaluate the refrences 4. it needs more muchness 5. suck it up..you can do this So here I sit staring at the picture that my daughter drew me, the back of which, where the first words of muse were laid out on paper.  It took me only a few seconds for this picture to inspire my story. Maybe if i stare at it long enough it will tell me how to proceed.
