Thursday throw out

It’s that time again.

I have been in contact with both my betas and they seem to be making progress. So even though the process is painfully slow for me (I am one of those who can’t stop until I finish something…very inpatient)I realize it is a necessary step or means to an end.  I have made some progress with my own edits, I didn’t realize how hard it was to format an e-book, I just hope all of my hard work pays out in the end.

I want to give a shout out to some friends who are also writing and getting their name out there! R.L Kenderson Paranormal Romance novelists you can find them at http://rlkenderson.blogspot.com/ if you are interested! I can’t wait to read their upcoming release  Forbidden Blood expected early 2014. I have been distracted by some long awaited sequels that have finally been released by my favorite authors, but am trying to get myself back on track. As much as I love to write I love to read all the more so having two books I want to read come out the same week creates too many distractions. I MUST KEEP MY EYES ON THE PRIZE hehe.

On to the teasers

Captive

“Hello Tatum, I am Dr. Gavin Ross. I have been taking care of you since you arrived two days ago. You were in pretty rough shape, suffering from dehydration and malnutrition. We have been giving you IV fluids and antibiotics, we also performed a rape kit. Do you understand what I am telling you?” He pauses, gauging my reaction. I nod smashing my eyes shut so the tears don’t start to flow.  “The lab found high levels of ketamine in your system, are you a recreational drug user Mrs. Kennedy?” My eyes shoot open, I cannot quell the disdainful look  I am giving him. Dr. Ross raises his hands in defense, “I am required by law to ask that question.” He sighs, but stays quiet, obviously choosing his next words carefully. “Do you remember how you got to Las Vegas Mrs. Kennedy?”

Scarred

I am unhooked and led back inside. John stops by the sink so I can wash my hands then hands me a plastic cup. I down one glass of water, then fill my cup again. As I slowly sip the second glass, I take the chance to glance around the room. Brady and Brandy sit on the sofa across the room. Brady is still covering her stomach protectively with his hand. Jameson is across the island counter from me scowling. I set the glass down and John starts to lead me back to my room. After a few steps, I stop dead. My eyes lock on an image outside of the storm glass windows. I start to scurry as best I can to the door to my prison but John jerks me to a stop. The front door swings wide and behind it stands Brad. The sight of him creates a whirlpool in the water I just added to my stomach. I close my eyes tight and will myself not to be sick, but just as the feeling wanes I hear a second set of footsteps cross the threshold.

My eyes open as wide as saucers, and he smiles at me. “You do look so much like your mother.”

                Jack, fuck!

That’s all I have for this week.  I hope that you enjoyed. Please like my Facebook page and share my blog with your friends. Thanks Again for visiting
