WELCOME TO THE THURSDAY THROW OUT!!

I know it is almost Friday, but they switched my shift so I now have to work evenings every three weeks.*sad face* I guess keeping your job is the new raise so complaining is futile. It has been a rough week for me, spent a few days in the hospital. However, all is well, and life is getting back to normal.

Anyhow, this blog is not for me to complain about my life, it is to bring you updates and excerpts of my writing. This being said, I am going to get right to it. On to the teasers:

Muse Vol. 1
Stella and Jema
After a deep breath she started; “So, you’re a Muse?” I nodded. “And I am a demigod?” I gave another nod. “So what the hell is going on here? Every time I talk to Seth, my mind goes blank. I look at Jesson and it’s like staring into the sun, and the other two, from our dorm, don’t speak to me.” She looked as if she would cry; I decided that she should have an explanation.  Unfortunately, I was not sure how much she had been told.
“Every god or goddess has a power, or something they can control. Eros is the god of love, which is why you are so drawn to him. However, he also has the ability to clear your mind. He can make you think, feel, see, or do whatever he wants. Jesson is the son of Apollo, who was the sun god among other things, which is why he seems to shine.” I smiled and thought about how many time he has dazzled me with his beauty in the past few days. “Cyrus and Greg are lesser gods, and they are a little standoffish.”

Scarred
Brayden and Israel
“Are you going to introduce me to you friend dear?” The lady from across the room coos. I look up and finally get a good look at the strange female. She is blonde and flawless; she seems to be in her mid forties. I marvel at her taut skin, and then I notice her lack of facial expression. Botox! I think to myself as the woman eyes me from head to toe. I realize that she is not on the phone as I had originally thought, and she is locked in a death stare with Brayden. I look between the two feeling the tension rise like a fog in the room.
Brayden turns to me and his eyes soften, “Israel, this is my mother Angela Johnson.” He turns back to the woman; “Mother this is Israel Hunter.” His eyes instantly tighten and the fog seeps in again.
“Nice to meet you.” I nod and smile at her trying to be polite. “I wish it was under better circumstances.”
“Yes, well there is never a good time to meet your son’s newest plaything.” She snipes attempting to narrow her eyes toward me.
My jaw drops and I instantly tense.
            “Mother…” Brayden growls.

Well that's it for this week.  Stop back next Thursday for more!
